I grew up in Germany, where children play outside in every season, and clothing is expected to keep up. Natural fibers, thoughtful layering, and craftsmanship aren’t trends — they’re simply how things are done.

When I moved to the United States in 2020, I noticed something was missing. Many of the heritage brands I had trusted for years — brands my own children grew up wearing — were difficult to find here.

So in 2021, I founded Lovely Margarethe.

Lovely Margarethe is a curated children’s concept store rooted in German craftsmanship and designed for modern American families. Every piece is carefully selected for its materials, durability, and purpose — clothing that breathes, protects, and moves with children through real life.

We work with heritage brands such as Engel Natur, Pickapooh, and disana — companies known in Germany for their commitment to natural fibers, quality construction, and sustainability. These are not brands chosen from a catalog. They are brands I know personally, trust deeply, and dress my own children in.

Every item in the shop is mom-tested, season-worn, and thoughtfully sourced — so you can shop with confidence knowing it has been chosen with care.
